We are so excited to announce that Roots 18 Under Armour Blue athlete, Nykeriah (Nyke) Allen, has committed to play volleyball and participate in track and field at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Nyke has been an integral part of the Roots Volleyball program this season and we look forward to watching her succeed at the next level. 

“I am very excited for Nyke’s commitment to play volleyball and compete in the high jump at Benedictine College! Nyke is a special player who quietly does the work with the most positive attitude of any player I’ve had the honor of coaching. She wants to get better and I’ve never seen her deterred in her quest. Nyke’s commitment is extra special because of her academic focus, as she was able to find a school that also offers her the opportunity to study Chemical Engineering. Congratulations Nyke!” says Joe Hunstock, head coach of 18 Under Armour Blue for the 2021-2022 season.
