Coach Bio

This season (2024-2025) Constance Atkinson is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s top 12s team – 12-1 Green.

Constance was born in Paris, Texas and attended Leander High School. She was a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball (2 seasons), basketball (3 seasons, starter), and track (4 seasons, varsity). Following her time as a Lady Lion she attended Austin Community College.

Last season (2023-2024) Constance was the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s top 12s team – 12 Green. Under her leadership 12 Green had eight top 10 finishes and earned 5 medals.  12 Green also secured a 3rd place finish at USAV Girls’ Junior Nationals (Patriot). The previous season (2022-2023) Constance was the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s third 13s team – 13 Mesquite and a floater coach for our Rise program.

Previously Constance Atkinson was the assistant coach for 12 Mesquite (2021-2022) and assistant coach for 13 Mesquite (2020-2021). Before coming to Roots Volleyball Constance coached one season of club volleyball and was a volunteer coach for 6 seasons.

Constance is an administrative assistant for the City of Round Rock Transportation Department. She resides in Hutto with her husband, Mike and their four children – Kaelan, Hunter, Macie, and Bailey. This will be Constance’s 5th season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
