Roots 18 Blue athlete, Lana Wright (Class of 2024), has committed to continue her academic and volleyball career at Temple College. Lana has been a valuable contribution to the Roots Volleyball program, playing a leading role on 18 Blue, the first 182 team in Roots history to qualify for USAV Nationals. In addition to being a part of the Roots volleyball program, Lana also participated on the Varsity program at Manor Early College High School.

Lana has shown impressive growth and resilience over her high school career.“Lana is an inspiring athlete to coach. She has worked so hard to come back from a potentially career ending shoulder surgery and pushes herself every day in practice to be better. She is a fierce competitor and a great teammate with an incredibly high ceiling. I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes at the next level!” says Matt Morgan, 182 Blue Head Coach and Roots Recruiting Coordinator.
