Kate Westmoreland Commits to Belhaven University
Roots 18 Blue athlete, Kate Westmoreland (Class of 2024), has committed to continue her academic and volleyball career at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. During her time at Roots, Kate has shown tireless work ethic and commitment to the sport to earn her spot at the national team level. Kate was an instrumental part of Roots 18 Blue this season, the first 182 team in Roots history to qualify for USAV Nationals. In addition to being a part of the Roots volleyball program, Kate also participated in the Varsity program at Wimberley High School which made a run to the state tournament her senior year.
Kate has made an impression on all of the coaches that have gotten to work with her during her time at Roots.“Kate is one of the most dedicated athletes I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. Her love for the game is truly unmatched. Due to her work ethic, I know she will be successful in all of her future endeavors.
