We are so excited to announce that Roots Volleyball athlete, Julia Hopkins, has committed to play volleyball at Angelo State University. Julia has been a part of the Roots family (formerly Texas Eclipse) since her 12s year and has been an integral part of each team that she has been a part of. Julia is a member of the 171 Green team for the 2022-2023 season and is a member of the Westwood High School Varsity volleyball team. She will graduate in 2024. 

“Julia is an amazing all-around player. She has been a key playmaker for the Roots program – able to generate points from the back row just as effectively as the front row. She leads by example with her effort and drive to succeed. I am so excited to see her excel for the Rams,” says Lindsay Rosenthal, Roots Volleyball director and Julia’s former club coach.

Julia’s talent will be a huge asset for the Angelo State volleyball program. We are so proud of Julia and can’t wait to watch her play at the next level. Go Rams!
