Roots Volleyball athlete, Claire Bauer (Class of 2023), has committed to play volleyball at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Claire is a part of the 17 Under Armour Blue team for the 2021-2022 club season and plays varsity volleyball at Anderson High School.

“Claire is a difference maker. The commitment, passion and drive she has for her team, herself and the game speaks volumes. Claire has the ability to affect other people and be somebody that players want to emulate. She cares enough to help her teammates for their benefit, that’s what makes her stand out,” says Nicole Hajka, 17 Under Armour Blue head coach for the 2021-2022 season.

Her work ethic is recognized by all in the gym. “Claire works harder than almost anyone in our gym. She is very coachable, eager to find a way to win, and is getting better everyday! I am so excited to see what she can achieve at the next level,” says Lindsay Rosenthal, Roots Volleyball Director.
