This season (2024-2025) Tori Wheeler is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s fourth 14s team – 14-4 Mesquite.

Tori was born in Austin, Texas and attended Hendrickson High School. She earned numerous accolades as a Lady Hawk including Newcomer of the Year, Defensive MVP, and Team MVP. Tori also excelled off the court earning All-District Academic awards. She graduated in 2019 and attended Austin Community College. She earned her associate degree in business administration in 2022.

Tori is a Roots Volleyball/Texas Eclipse alumna (2015-2017). She’s coached summer leagues and worked in the summers with the varsity team for Hendrickson High School. Tori coaches because she loves volleyball. Tori finds the drive players have to improve their skills and be the best player they can be inspiring. She enjoys being part of that process and assisting players to become the best player and person they can be on and off the court.

Tori currently lives in Austin with her very cute golden-doodle, Nola. She works for PFISD in the Support Services Department. She prints all tests and worksheets for the entire staff of PFISD. She also assists teachers with their orders and makes sure they are satisfied, solving any issues as quickly as possible. This will be Tori’s 1st season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
