Sierra was born in California but has lived in Austin, Texas most of her life. She started playing volleyball at age 7 and her mom coached her for six seasons. She graduated from Cedar Ridge High School in 2024, where she was the starting setter on the varsity volleyball team and won several district academic awards including Academic All-State. She is a Roots alumna, playing her 17s and 18s club seasons with Roots, as well as several previous clubs in the Austin-area. She played on national level teams for 4 years, qualifying for USAV Girls’ Junior Nationals twice. Sierra will be attending UT Austin and plans to continue playing volleyball on their club team as she pursues a degree in kinesiology.
Sierra has been coaching camps and clinics for 3 years, including head and assistant coaching positions for summer league teams. She has worked with players ages 4-16.
Sierra has been playing volleyball for over 11 years and loves the sport. She can’t wait to share her knowledge of the game to other athletes and help them grow in leadership and sportsmanship. This is Sierra’s 1st season coaching club volleyball with the Roots Volleyball family.
