Coach Bio

This season (2023-2024) Nichole Allison is the head coach for Roots Volleyball’s 3rd 13s team – 13-3 Maple.

Nichole was a middle hitter at El Campo High School and Concordia University-Austin. She was an all-around athlete (played basketball and ran track) but fell in love with sport of volleyball. She has a life-long love of the game and continues to stay involved as much as possible.

Nichole currently serves as the head coach at Concordia High School (2016-present). Her wish is to pass on her knowledge, experience, and love of volleyball to the future generation. She’s had a few opportunities to play with the best in the world and she continues to strive to be the best in coaching and teaching the game.

Last season (2022-2023) Nichole Allison was the head coach for Roots Volleyball’s 3rd 17s team – 17 Maple. Nichole previously coached with a large Austin-area club (2010-2021). Nichole is looking forward to the season to continuing to inspiring girls to develop a strong work ethic, become better communicators and supporters on/off the court, and to be better overall players and teammates.

Her work ethic is fueled by the players being physically and mentally prepared for all situations on and off the court no matter what level. Nichole believes that all girls can soar beyond their expectations, if they are dedicated and willing to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Three keys to being on her team: being 100% focused on improving in every skill, possessing the ability to accept and immediately act on constructive feedback, and developing independent thinking and decision-making skills.

This will be Nichole’s 2nd season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
