This season (2022-2023) Kirstyn Conwell is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s HCI 16s team – 16 Hickory.

Kirstyn was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and she attended Cedar Park High School. She graduated with the class of 2015. Kirstyn was a standout on her school and club volleyball teams through her 16U season. She began coaching club as a junior in high school. Kirstyn is a proud member of the Roots Volleyball/Texas Eclipse alumni having played from 12U-16U.

Kirstyn continued her education at Texas State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in ESL Education. She is currently a middle school special education math teacher. This will also be her second year coaching 7th and 8th grade volleyball, track, and soccer.

Kirstyn is beginning her 9th season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family. She lives in South Austin and is married to her wife, Hannah. They have a dog, Ladybug, and 3 cats, Marlee, Leo, and Scarlett.
