This season (2022-2023) Kelli Northup is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s top 11s team – 11 Green.
Kelli was born in Austin, Texas and attends Round Rock Christian Academy (2023 grad). Kelli has led her team to the State Championship all three seasons of play – TAPPS 3A State Champions (2021), TAPPS 3A State Semi-Finals (2020), and TAPPS 3A State Runner-up (2019) under Doug Keyser (141 Green Head Coach). Additionally, she’s earned herself several impressive accolades including PrepVolleyball FROSH 59 (2019), 1st Team All-District (2019), 1st Team All-State (2019), PrepVolleyball 2023 Top 150 (2020), TAPPS 3A District MVP (2020), Austin Statesman Central Texas Volleyball Team Honorable Mention (2020), TAPPS 3A State Runner-up in sand volleyball (2020), AVCA Phenom Watch List (2020), 1st Team All-District (2020), 1st Team All-State (2020), RRCA Athlete of the Year (2021), RRCA Defensive Player of the Year (2021), AVCA Phenom Watch List (2021), 1st Team All-District (2021), 1st Team All-State (2021), and AVCA All-American Watch List (2022).
She also earned several club volleyball awards for her high level of play including Lone Star High Performance Team (2018-2019) and led her team to the Girls’ USAV Junior National Champions in 16 American with AJV (2021). Kelli also excels off the court and earned honors for Academic All-State, President’s Award for Excellence, National Honor Society, and All “A” Honor Roll. Kelli will continue her collegiate career next year at University of Mary Hardin Baylor playing sand volleyball. She plans to study within the health field.
Previously Kelli served as a club floater coach last season (2021-2022) for Roots Volleyball’s 12 Mesquite and 14 Maple. She also has 3 summers as a camp coach with Firestorm Volleyball. This will be Kelli’s 2nd season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
