Coach Bio

This season (2023-2024) Kaitlyn Vasquez is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s fourth 16s team – 16-4 Mesquite.

Kaitlyn was born in Round Rock and attended Round Rock Christian Academy – She played for Coach Doug Keyser! Kaitlyn led her team to the final four at the state tournament each year and boasted a 2nd place finish in 2018 and 2019. She also earned 2nd Team All-District honors as a freshman, 1st Team All-District honors as a sophomore and junior. Kaitlyn also led the district in aces as a freshman on varsity and was Academic All-State her sophomore and junior seasons.

She graduated from RRCA in 2022 and is attending Texas State University pursuing a bachelors in communication studies with a minor in business. She will be graduating in May of 2024.

Kaitlyn currently lives in Pflugerville. This is Kaitlyn’s first season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
