This season (2021-2022) Jessica Finch is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s second 14s team – 14 Under Armour Blue and co-head coach for Roots Volleyball’s forth 16s team – 16 Mesquite.

Jessica was born in Marietta Georgia. She attended Cedar Ridge High School and graduated with the class of 2016. She earned numerous awards for her high level of play including Outstanding Setter Award (2015, 2016), Team MVP (2015, 2016), 1st Team All District (2016), and 2nd Team All District (2015). She was voted Team Captain by her team at Cedar Ridge (2015, 2016) and Texas Eclipse (2014, 2015, 2016). She also holds records at Cedar Ridge for all time assists/season assist and the record at Cedar Ridge for aces in set.

Jessica is a Roots Volleyball alumnus and led her team to a 3rd placed finished at the Midwestern National Qualifier in 2015 (17U) and a 3rd place finish at the Kansas City National Qualifier in 2016. She also worked at the YMCA as Membership Representative and Sports Supervisor.

She continued her career collegiately at the University of Texas – Tyler (2016-2017) where she played volleyball her freshman year. She transferred to Texas A&M University (2017-2019) and earned a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Sports Management.

Last season (2019-2020) Jessica head coached 13 Mesquite and assisted 16 Pecan. Previously Jessica coached for Aggie Elite Volleyball (2019-2020) in College Station. She coached 15 Black (2nd team) and 17 National (1st team).

This will be Jessica’s 2nd season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
