Coach Bio

 This season (2024-2025) Jane Petricka is a floater coach for Roots Volleyball.

Jane was born in Fremont, CA and attended Granada High School. She was a standout for GHS and earned Team MVP and 1st Team All-League Libero honors. She played for Norcal Volleyball Club and led her team to strong finishes at USAV Girls’ Junior Nationals all 4 seasons. Following her 2013 graduation she continued her education and volleyball career at Santa Barbara City College. Jane played both indoor volleyball and sand volleyball while studying Psychology.

Previously Jane coached four seasons of club volleyball (3 assist, 1 head). Jane’s passion for volleyball that started in middle school. She has always loved to play, and loves working with kids. She knows firsthand the important role volleyball has played in her life and works to develop well-rounded athletes on and off the court through her coaching.

Jane currently resides in Pflugerville and works for PlayOn Sports. She is engaged and set to wed in April 2025. This is Jane’s 1st season coaching club volleyball with the Roots Volleyball family.
