This season (2022-2023) Lane Hahn is the head coach for Roots Volleyball’s fourth 14s team – 14 Mesquite.

Lane was born and raised in Austin, Texas. They attended McNeil High School where they helped lead their team to a Bi-District Champion title for the first time in seven years, and an additional round of playoffs in 2014. Lane has fifteen years of volleyball playing experience, including school, club, and select volleyball throughout their time in college.

Lane graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 2021 as a BFA recipient in Studio Art with an emphasis in oil painting. Their work has been featured in galleries across cities like Norman, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth, and many more. During their time at OU, Lane participated in the club volleyball program as a middle blocker for two-years before pursuing art full-time.

This will be Lane’s second year with the Roots Volleyball family. In 2021 they joined our team as the 15 Pecan Assistant Coach, and have returned as the 14 Mesquite Head Coach.
