Coach Bio
This season (2024-2025) Kennedy Pittman is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s second 18s team – 18-2 Blue.
Kennedy was born in Fort Davis, Texas and attended Fort Davis High School. Kennedy was heavily involved in school sports and clubs including football, golf, track, cross country, FFA, Stuco (Vice President – 2 years), NHS (President – 2 years), One Act Play (cast and crew), UIL Policy Debate (Top 12 State finish – 4 years), and Robotics Club. He graduated from FDHS in 2020.
Kennedy continued his education at Texas A&M University where he majored in English and minored in Japanese. He was also a member of TAMU Men’s Club Volleyball, Japanese Language and Culture Club, and Club Jiu Jitsu.
Previously, Kennedy coached 13U and 15U teams at BCS Skyline. He was also TAMU practice player/volunteer coach and a TAMU summer camp coach. Kennedy has been providing private lesson training the past three seasons for players of all ages.
Working with young athletes, parents, and other coaches to create a strong team filled with individuals who excel both on and off the court is Kennedy’s guiding principle and his ideal workplace environment. He loves to see determined players take ideas, internalize and develop them, and manifest their team’s collective goals on the court.
Kennedy currently resides in Leander and works for Texas Sake Company. This is Kennedy’s 1st season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
