Coach Bio
This season (2024-2025) Kristin Britt is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s fifth 14s team – 14-5 Pecan.
Kristin was born in Port Jefferson, New York, and graduated from Earl L Vandermeulen High School in 2000. An accomplished athlete, she earned All-County Volleyball and All-District Soccer honors. Her senior year was highlighted by leading her volleyball team to the district championship, where they finished as the runner-up. Academically, Kristin was a member of the National Honor Society and played varsity soccer, basketball, and volleyball from grades 8-12.
She continued her academic and athletic pursuits at Fairleigh Dickinson University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education. Kristin played Division I volleyball on an athletic/academic scholarship and joined the college soccer team when needed. She graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Kristin’s coaching career includes a year as a 13U assistant coach for an Austin-area club, where she led the team to 1st place finish at the Lone Star Warm-Up. She also spent three years as a YMCA volleyball coach and five years coaching YMCA soccer and basketball.
Kristin is driven by the lasting impact her club volleyball coach had on her life. She aims to provide similar opportunities for her athletes to grow socially, emotionally, and athletically.
Currently, Kristin works as a Pre-K teacher. Her past roles include being an elementary school administrator and working for the University of Hawaii. Kristin resides in Cedar Park with her spouse and three children, Riis (13), James (10,) and William (8).
