This season (2024-2025) Ashleigh Winks is the assistant coach for Roots Volleyball’s second 16s team – 16-2 Blue.

Ashleigh was born in Amarillo, Texas and attended Lubbock Cooper High School (2018 Grad). She started playing volleyball during elementary school (age 8) and played competitively throughout high school, including playing club volleyball for Guns Up Volleyball.

Ashleigh attended Texas Tech University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management & Master of Science in Healthcare Administration in 2022. She participated in Greek life and was a member of the Dean’s List and a President’s List honoree.

She comes to Roots after coaching two seasons (2018-2020) with Guns Up Volleyball. Her teams saw numerous successes in competitive play through Texas. Ashleigh is a Healthcare Administrator for the Department of Veteran Affairs. She currently resides in North Austin with her Cavapoo, Mara. This is Ashleigh’s 1st season coaching with the Roots Volleyball family.
